I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old, playing on my local AYSO team with my Dad as the coach. Loving every minute of it, and since then I haven’t lost my love for the game. I don’t know life without it, it is a part of me, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Although, along the way, there have been many ups and downs, good days, and bad days. This sport has taught me how to be a better person, player, and teammate. Learning that there is always more to learn, in life, and on the field. Plus, learning to be a person my teammates can depend on. Wherever that may be, on the field to get the job done, or someone off the field that they can talk to and be there for them. One of the biggest lessons I’ve had to learn is when you don’t make a team, a shot, or simply get pushed back in life or on the field; not to give up on yourself. To keep going and pushing through because it will be worth it. I am looking to continue this journey by playing soccer at the collegiate level where I can challenge myself, academically and athletically.
