Brendan Traverso '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Brendan Traverso and I've been playing hockey for as long as I can remember. Hockey has been in my family for 4 generations, dating back to my great-grandfather. Even though I played multiple other sports like baseball, soccer, and lacrosse, hockey was always my favorite.

I think in every sport the most important thing is confidence. When a player loses their confidence it can greatly affect their performance. This is exactly what happened to me prior to my 14U season when I decided to take a step back to AA. During that season I was able to embrace the role of being a leader and a top player that got to play in all situations. The lessons I learned that year I’ve taken with me ever since and will continue to throughout the rest of my career.

I pride myself on being a smart hockey player who competes in all three zones and is very coachable. I get just as excited setting up a teammate to score as if I scored myself.  I want to make a difference on the PK as much as on the PP.  I love to watch games and look for how players saw plays develop, always looking for little things I can add to my game.

Outside of hockey, about all of my time is spent either in school or with my friends. When I’m with my friends, we like to watch sporting events and compete with each other in just about any way possible. Whether it's basketball, wiffle ball, or anything in between, it doesn't matter as long as I can win.
