My goal in college is to get a degree in Aviation/ Aerospace Science and play hockey. I started playing hockey at age 6 in our local house league for 2 years and then played travel hockey as a Mite, Squirt and Pee-Wee. I have been on a (AA) team since my first year as a Squirt up until today playing for the Utah Junior Grizzlies 16U Tier 2 (AA) team. I attribute a lot of my success in hockey to the high-level coaching I’ve received throughout the years. Last season my team made it to Tier 2 Nationals in Colorado and placed 3rd. As a defenseman, I pride myself as being strong in front of the net, blocking shots and forcing turnovers. From the blue line I'm looking for opportunities to pass, assist or score. I am hopeful to continue to play competitive hockey for as long as I possibly can. I also play varsity golf and baseball for my high school. When not playing sports, I’m focused on academics. I attend Judge Memorial Catholic High School which is a National Blue Ribbon School. I’ve learned that whether its academics or sport your effort and attitude are the most important things you can control. Being a golfer has taught me how to handle pressure as an individual athlete. Being a hockey player has taught me how to work together and contribute as a teammate. I’ve been active in my community by participating in service projects since grade school. By the time I graduate will have over 100 hours of community service. I am a hardworking, coachable individual and hope you consider me for your program.
