3 things you should know about me…
I have learned from some of the greats: DU’s Bill Tierney, Trevor Tierney, Matt Brown, and Matt Neufeldt. Denver Elite runs a college-like practice which has helped me adjust easily at college prospect camps. My club coaches have included Matty Marks of Stevens and the Denver Outlaws, Nate Watkins of the Terps and the Outlaws, and Graham Bocklet of Vermont and the Outlaws.
My strengths as an athlete include: athleticism, size, speed, anticipation, acceleration, lacrosse IQ, passion, intensity, hype, leadership, and energy.
I am from a small rural mountain town in Colorado. I have played lacrosse for a local club since 2017. My youth coach, John Vella, started lacrosse in our county in 2016. He inspired my passion for lacrosse. We did not have a high school team until 2023. Chances of me getting noticed here are limited. I have commuted to Denver for travel club since 2021. It is a 4 hour round trip for me to travel to practice two times a week. My parents ask me to pay half for my lacrosse journey. Therefore, I have held summer jobs since I was 14 to help pay for my dream. As professional and college coaches have given to me, I have given back by paying it forward. I have been volunteer coaching youth club for my Coach John’s son, Johnny, and his team to grow lacrosse in our community.
Inside Lacrosse video analyis 02/18/2024
"Carter is defensive prospect out of Middle Park HS in CO that has great size, length, and an aggressiveness that has him weaponzing that length to cover ground and apply pressure in the middle of the field. He seeks opportunities to jump ball carriers and does a great job of making split second decisions that allow him to disrupt the play. His size and skillset make for a versatility that allows him to effectively fill a role taking wings, working hard in the ride, playing LSM in 6v6 sets, or simply being an effective close defender."
1. Aggressively plays the ball.
2. Beneficial size and length.
3. Versatility between close and LSM.
