Personal Statement

I have been playing lacrosse since first grade. Lacrosse has been part of my life for nearly 11 years and I can’t imagine my collegiate life without playing lacrosse at the highest level possible and without being a member of a lacrosse team. Throughout my life, nothing has matched the feeling of being on a team. My favorite memories are making the varsity lacrosse team as a freshman and contributing to help win the State Championship that year.  I have enjoyed every second of lacrosse, whether it was spent playing in the backyard, playing for my school, my club teams or volunteering to coach younger kids.

As the youngest in a family of three kids, I have always challenged myself to be as good as or better than those around me. This is the basis of my work ethic.  I push myself to be the best that I can be. I also pride myself on doing anything I am asked to do or coached to do. For most of my lacrosse career, I have played with and against athletes much older and bigger than me. I have always met the challenge and have always made contributions to the team. I challenge myself in everything I do athletically and academically and I try my hardest to play for my team. My main goal is to find a school that fits me for both academics and athletics.

I am a three-sport athlete and three-time captain and an honors student. I know what it takes to be a leader and I know what it takes to be a part of a team; part of something bigger than myself. I will be that leader and that team player for your program!
