Personal Statement

I am going into my Senior year and do well at school and lacrosse.  I have a 4.6 GPA and I have only earned one B grade since the second grade. I have taken the highest level courses available including a Gifted and Talented program for six years.  I am enrolled in all Advanced Placement and Honors courses and was one of only 22 students County-wide selected for the Project Lead the Way Introduction to Engineering Design Honors/Advanced Placement Program as a freshman.

To expand my leadership experience, I am the President of my Class of 2020 Student Government Association for three years.  I also enjoy playing the tuba, which I have been playing since fifth grade.  I was selected via auditions into my High School Honors Symphonic and Marching Band.  I was also selected via auditions the past two years for our All-Shore Honors Symphonic Band, which represents the best of the best musicians in a nine county region.

The thing I enjoy most is playing lacrosse and have a strong desire to play in college.  As a Freshman I played on the Varsity High School Lacrosse team and perform the starting face-offs.  I am not a FOGO as I am a strong two-way middie.  To improve my game, I play for Kooper’s Lacrosse Club, a Baltimore based team, which I commute five hours round trip to practices, but it has been very much worth it.  I do some type of lacrosse and fitness training every day. I have been working out consistently the past three years two to three days a week at Competitive Sports Performance Fitness Center with trainer Dominick Flora.  We concentrate on speed, agility, strength and endurance training.  I have worked out with several Salisbury University (11-time NCAA Division III National Champions) lacrosse players, including Sam Bradman (Major League Lacrosse & Division III Player of the Year). I plan to continue to develop my game, strength, speed and agility, so I will be able to continue to play the sport I enjoy so much in college.
