My name is Felicity (Flik) Chambers and I am 16 years old. My family set out on a grand adventure of traveling the world when I was 11. We covered America, Western Europe and Canada. Our travels were cut short after the first year when my 6 year old brother was diagnosed with leukemia. Needless to say, the next 3 years were spent focusing on him. I tell you this because I wasn’t able to start playing volleyball until my freshman year in high school. I love it and am now focused on doing all that I can to improve my skills so that I can play in College and beyond. I am 6 foot tall and dominate at the net. I’ve been a three-year starter on my high school volleyball team. I attended 3 volleyball camps my freshman year (University of Maryland, Villanova and University of Pennsylvania). I made two travel teams my sophomore year and chose to play with Dynamic Volleyball Academy.
My family moved to England, UK, December 1, 2018. I am switching gears to take the British GCSE exams in May, 2018. My goal is to start a two year "A levels" program in August, 2019 to study Journalism. My new graduation year will be 2021. I have also been accepted to The Boswells School team (school and club), which is coached by the England Junior Girls Volleyball Team Coach, Darren Lewis.
You want me on your team because I have a strong work ethic and a great attitude. I am very well rounded. Traveling and study won’t be a problem because I have already traveled while doing home school. I currently balance school, travel volleyball, drama club, school news anchor and producer on the morning announcements, student government fundraising and volunteer at the American Cancer Society. I love being part of a team, whom I look at as my second family.
