Luis (Michael) Calvo '25 Recruiting Profile

My goals and aspirations for playing college lacrosse are to compete at a high level and create strong bonds with my teammates. I have played lacrosse since third grade, and I’ve loved it ever since I picked up a stick. I pride myself on being a resilient, hard working person, who always strives towards my goals despite any challenge I face. Coaches have always been impressed with my coachability and willingness to listen to instructions and implement them into my game; a trait I incorporate to all aspects of my life. As a result of these traits, I excel in academics, as I am a straight-A student taking multiple honors and accelerated classes. In lacrosse specifically, I bring many dimensions to the faceoff position, as my stick skills and shooting ability allow me to be a threat on the offensive side of the field, and my defensive ability is not a liability when I have to stay on. Also, my lacrosse IQ is another strong point; as I pick up on tendencies and I am able to analyze the situation and make the right decision.
