It was 9 years ago that I fell in love with one of the oldest games in the world, lacrosse. I've been passionate about lacrosse since the first time I picked up a stick and have taken every opportunity to make me the best lacrosse player possible. These opportunities include day camps, week long overnight camps, my high school team lacrosse, a year round competitive travel team and most importantly the time I put practicing on my own in the backyard. I am going into my Junior year in high school and I realize that I need to think about my future. There is one thing I am absolutely certain about and that is I want to continue my passion of lacrosse and play in college.
As a player, I have a lot to offer. I am talented with both my right and left hand, but my dominate hand is left, which puts me at an advantage when playing attack. My passes to teammates are extremely accurate which has won my team many close games. I think my best quality is that I am not a selfish player. I have the ability to see the big picture on the field and put my team first by looking for the best play to score a goal. This again has contributed to my travel team having a winning record. I am eager to learn, so I am very coachable and hard working.
I want to attend a college that will provide me with academic success and the ability to play lacrosse at the most competitive level. I look forward to the challenge in the classroom and on and off the field. Playing lacrosse, as well as academic success will help me to become a rounded person that will ultimately shape the rest of my future.
