I have always played sports since I was a young boy and I have always loved to compete on any sports teams. I love a challenge to learn and become the best athlete on my team and to help others do the same. I have been blessed with great coaches who have mentored and taught me that I can over come any obstacle and that I can be a better athlete as long as I respect the game, the players, the coaches and myself. I have been captain of my travel soccer team for 2 years, my High School Football team since I was a sophomore, and was captain of my lacrosse team my first year on as a junior. I also received 2nd team all district in defense. I was on my high school varsity baseball team as a freshman and on JV wrestling as a sophomore. I enjoy learning about all sports and having the ability to quickly grow in my skills and flexibility with myself. I am a well rounded athlete and can play any position you place me on. I'm really good at being adaptable in any situation I'm placed in. I don't just want to learn and play the game, I watch and observe. I have a great ability to read out the plays to know where to be and how to make the outcome happen. Most of my teammates call me the beast. I give 110% at every practice and game. I never give up when we are down and I am focused and determined when I play. I also help mentor others and encourage them to do their best on my team. My High school has a mentoring program with the elementary schools in my district and we go and help them learn how to play different sports and to encourage them that they can play sports too. I've helped coach and ref Special Olympics players too. It really makes me happy to see them smile when they catch the ball or score a goal. To know I had something to do with that. I play sports because I love the game. I can't imagine not playing sports while I'm in college. It's always been a dream of mine to achieve that and to make my parents proud not just in sports and academically but in everything I do.
