Personal Statement

I have always been hungry to compete. Because of the intensity of the sport, the moment I encountered rowing, I knew it was for me. Persistence and drive are part of who I am; I relish a coach's critique to improve. My teammates' devotion energizes me and I stay determined when others' resolve diffuses. Raised in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, I am a nationally ranked student. Captain of my rowing team and my speech and debate club, I serve as a mentor and leader, developing character and culture within the teams. What I’ve learned is prioritizing others' gain ultimately leads to everyone’s success. My collegiate aspirations include effecting positive change through strong character, leadership, and quality relationships. I’m training hard to consistently improve.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
