For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to play soccer in high school and continue on to play soccer in college. To achieve these goals, each practice and game I always push myself to my best ability. I listen well to my coaches and do what is asked of me. I have been the captain of my club team and was the coach's selection for captain on my high school team this year. In the past, I was a leader-in-training for my Church's younger kids' AWANA (youth) program.
Every day I try my hardest to improve my soccer skills. I am naturally right footed but spent 2014 focusing on my left foot in order to strengthen it and become equally as skilled with my left. (It paid off as 6 of my 16 goals and 5 assists in 2015 came with my left foot.) I am now comfortable scoring from both sides. Soccer is my passion and I have been learning more each year over the past 12 years I have been playing.
Off the field, I work on improving my grades and enjoy mentoring an autistic student in my peer tutoring class and the Best Buddies Club. I spend time with my friends hiking, going to eat and the movies I try to live my life and make decisions following my Christian beliefs.
I am confident that I will make meaningful contributions to the college team I play for and be the kind of student the college can be proud of.
