Steven Zelepos '14 Recruiting Profile

A major dream I have in my life is playing soccer in college. I would love to make my family proud and on my quest to play soccer in college. This is not only a dream this is also my goal. I am very determined to play at the next level by working out with a personal trainer and practicing with friends, teammates, and sometimes family members.

When on the field I'm in a different world. When I step foot on the field something just "snaps" and I go from being a funny, lovable guy to a loud, assertive man. I'm the type of player who will give it his all during a game, really leaving his heart on the field. The love and passion I have for the game is easily seen by anyone who watches me play.

The type of goal keeper I am is hard to describe. I'm one who will go get the ball without caring of what's in my way. I'm also a very vocal player, telling teammates where to be and who to guard is another one of my strong suits. I also love "one-on-one" saves. I love going and making the save and breaking the other teams hearts. Another thing is that being 6'2" helps with chip shots, very rarely will I ever get chipped.

I've had many dreams in my time of growing up but playing soccer is not my only dream, after college I dream of taking over the family restaraunt and make it better than before. My grandfather being an immigrant from Greece, like my father, grandmother and my Uncle Chris, came to America to live the "American Dream." My grandfather finally was living the "American Dream" after opening Mystic Pizza in 1973. My grandfather had a great run in the pizza business and sometime in the 90s my dad became the proud owner. Someday I will follow in his footsteps and make a living in the pizza business.

Soccer and pizza have been part of my life since I could remember. I learned how to kick a soccer ball when I was three and I learned how to make a pizza when I was seven. It would be a blessing if I could play soccer and learn about business in college, I will make it happen.
