"Playing football with your feet is one thing, but playing with your heart is another." - Francesco Totti
My parents introduced me to many sports when I was younger, but the soccer pitch felt like a second home to me. I have been playing soccer since I was eight years old. When I am on the pitch, I have a sense of peace and focus. Additionally, I enjoy being part of a team. A soccer team often becomes a close group of friends who have a shared passion and goal. Being part of a successful team creates opportunity not only for furthering my soccer career, but also to make lasting friendships. It has always been my goal to be part of a soccer team at the collegiate level. I am a versatile player and can play anywhere on the field, but my true passion has always been to score goals and create chances. Hence, my primary positions are striker and right wing.
My strengths on the field are my speed, physicality and knowledge of the game. I also have great endurance, which allows me to be able to play for a full ninety minutes. I work hard and I always want the ball so my defense in the attacking third is very effective. I am very coachable and have been told by several coaches that I am quick to make corrections. I am also an unselfish team player, knowing that the goal is to win.
Academically, I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the soccer pitch. I have a strong GPA and am I member of the National Science Honor Society. I volunteer with my club soccer program to work with children with physical challenges in a program called Top Soccer. I am also a founding member of my high school's fishing club. I have been a starting player with my high school's soccer team since my freshman year and lead my district in scoring both my sophomore and junior years. Additionally, I play football and have run track for my high school's teams, but soccer is my first and primary sport and always will be.
My goal is to be part of a college squad where I will continue to play, enjoy my time out on the pitch and win. I want to find a school that fits best academically and where I can play the sport I love at the highest level possible. I know I have what it takes to succeed at the next level.
