Life as a military child definitely had it's struggles as I grew to understand that every few years we would have to relocate. Despite the constant moves, I grew to appreciate them because it provided me the opportunity to interact with all walks of life and most importantly, it allowed me to use my love for soccer as the way to establish new connections. Understanding that my time would be limited within an area, I did the best I could to build everlasting relationships with each of my coaches and teammates. During these times I did my best to not only to not only develop myself as a better player by instilling tactics, methods and skills taught from different coaches, but more so a better team mate by helping others improve their game so that we as a team can be successful. Never taking the situation for granted, I dedicated any time that I had to improve with the realization that the next move was forthcoming and cherished every minute I had. Coming from the military, my father instilled in me that success only comes in the form of a team and that very much translates on the soccer pitch as there are 11 of us doing our best to win. As I look back at my youthful experiences and having the opportunity to be successful in state cups and regional tournaments with my club teams, I look ahead and hope to carry the same mentality with my future college team and I'm determined to use the setting to develop not only myself on the pitch, but also personally and professionally. I view college as the beginning of the journey into the real world and all that it has to offer. The best way to prepare for the unknown and reach new heights is by utilizing the support of those who can assist me in achieving my goals and by building new relationships with future teammates and support them in any way I can so that WE can win and be successful, together.
