Leslie Lange '22 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a senior at Carterville High School, where I am involved in a multitude of different activities, including FBLA, HOSA, FCA, Interact Club, and varsity football. On top of being involved in many extracurricular activities, I am very focused on academics as I have a 3.954 / 4 GPA. I have also maintained high honors throughout high school, I am ranked 14 / 154 in my class, and I am a part of NHS. After high school, I plan on studying in either the fields of chemistry, pharmacy, or medicine.

Even though I am involved in all of that, I have always made soccer a priority in my life. If I am not doing schoolwork you can almost always find me at my high school football field working on foot skills, striking, passing, and everything in between. I put in 20+ hours a week on training, so I bring a good work ethic to whatever team I am on, which makes that teamwork harder in return creating a never-ending cycle of improvement.

I am also a versatile player who can do whatever my coach needs me to do. My coach moved me to center back my sophomore year where the back line had an amazing season, and I got Most Improved on the team, then the following year I got Defensive Player of the Year and all-conference honorable mentions at the center back position. In my senior year, I started as a center back however, our team’s offense was very stagnant, so my coach moved me to holding midfield. I had never played the position before, but due to my versatility, I was able to move the ball quickly and get my team scoring opportunities. So this shows that a coach can rely on me to get whatever job they need to be done.

Going into college I would love the opportunity to be on a team that will push me to my full potential, and be with a group of guys I will be able to call my family for the next four years of my life.
