My name is Kaiden Ryan, and I have been playing the game of soccer for as long as I can remember. Soccer has not only taught me how to be conditioned and get stronger, but also that without strong relationships and trust in your teammates, you go nowhere.
I love nothing more than to put my cleats on and be in between the white lines. whether its for club, high school, meeting the guys at the field on a Sunday, or putting my earbuds in and getting some touches in on my own. I love to get to know my teammates as well as I can because I feel that the better I know them, the better we will play together on the same side of the field. I have played on a few teams. From the time I was four until the time I was 13 I played for a rec team called the Manhattan Mavericks. I was with the same group for seven years and we were moved into playing tournaments with smaller club teams to bring up the competitive nature a bit in our playing style. I moved from the small town of Manhattan to Frankfort IL at the end of 7th grade and started a new adventure in the world of club soccer. My first club I played with was Roma FC, which I played there until the end of my Sophomore year in high school. In between club those two years I started the freshman team as a freshman and started Junior Varsity as a sophomore. I am currently awaiting to start my junior season, as I am set to possibly start varsity. In the meantime, I am playing club with Legacy SC.
I have a few playing styles that adjust depending on the direction of the game is going. I love to shoot, as a forward does. I have a strong shot that I have harnessed over the years and I have scored many goals in my life. I am not shy when it comes to letting of a few shots a game. As a CAM, I love to be able to be part of the play a little more than the forwards are, being able to track back a little and move off the ball. I have great vision for the field and where to play the ball and when to be most effective. Play making is probably one of my stronger suits, while shooting is my favorite. I am also not afraid to get in front of a shooter and block a shot every so often.
When it comes to my physical health I take it seriously, as my parents have taught me to. Eating the right way before and after training and games is very important to me, as it is to most players. Having the discipline to eat well and stay on top of getting touches on the ball and staying conditioned in the off season is something I take seriously as well.
At the end of the day, I eat sleep and breathe the sport of soccer, and would love to take myself further in the sport.
