Personal Statement

Winning AVCTL 1 Regionals has been the highlight of my high school career. Although I feel like the year that I have improved the most as student-athlete was this past 2018-2019 season. This was my junior year and we had made it again to the Regionals final but had lost and missed the opportunity to go to state. The opportunity to go back to Regionals helped me develop more as a player and gain more experience. This year helped me improve my work rate, work ethic, social skills and leadership skills. With all the events that have happened this past year I’ve truly been able to understand what it’s going to take to become a more knowledgeable player in defense.

I am grateful and fortunate to be part of a great program that shows heart, determination, and respect. Along with a great coach that pushes me to be the best that I can be and tells me to never give up no matter how hard it gets. Over these past three years I have learned the value of teamwork, work rate, work ethic, and leadership. I’m looking for a program that will be a great match for me athletically and academically. I believe that I have the talent and capability of competing and making an impact on a college team. Also with being a captain, I know the responsibilities of what it takes to be a leader and how to act as one.
