Wes Ambrose '26 Recruiting Profile

I'm a midfielder from Mississippi competing with MS Rush ECNL (2008), the Rush National Team, and the team captain of my high school soccer team. The most dominant positions I can use to my advantage are attacking midfield and holding midfield. In those positions, I have excelled at dictating the pace of play, creating scoring opportunities, and maintaining possession under pressure. What really sets me apart is my field vision, tactical awareness, and versatility. I am equally proficient up front, leading the attack, or dropping back to support the defense. Whatever the situation of the game may be, I adjust. It is the commitment to continuous self-improvement at both mental and physical levels that makes me the best player I can be.

Though I'm still unsure about what I would like to major in college, my overall goal is to get a college soccer experience in a program that pushes me both on and off the field. I want to go somewhere that values hard work, discipline, and teamwork—qualities I bring to every game. I will make an immediate impact on any team through my leadership, work ethic, and ability to influence the game from the midfield. I'm excited about the opportunity to help my future team have a winning season. I am ready to commit to a program that is ambitious and committed to excellence, just like me.
