Personal Statement
My soccer career can be highlighted through two major events. One was being elected as my high school varsity captain as a junior. This really taught me how to be a leader in an athletic setting and improved my game overall. The second was a 4-4 tie against Virginia while playing for the NJ ODP team. After the first half, we were down 4-0, and Virginia is undeniably one of the stronger ODP programs. A comeback seemed unlikely, however, that's exactly what we did. This was a defining moment in my career because it required a team of kids, who had seen each other four times this year, to work for each other and communicate effectively. These experiences made me a better player overall and a better candidate for your team because, alongside my physical qualities, I now have valuable experience in communication and leadership.
