Hello Coaches,

 My name is Benjamin Lyons, and I have been passionate about soccer for as long as I can remember. Growing up in East Brunswick, New Jersey, soccer has been a constant in my life, and I have always strived to play at the highest level possible. It is my goal to continue this journey by playing soccer at the collegiate level while earning a degree that will set me up for success both on and off the field.

Throughout my life, I have dedicated myself to improving as an athlete. I have always competed at a high level, constantly pushing myself to develop my technical skills, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning. Playing soccer has taught me discipline, teamwork, and resilience—values I hold dearly and believe will make me a strong candidate for your team. My experience in competitive soccer has shaped me into a versatile player who thrives in high-pressure situations, always giving my best effort no matter the circumstances.

What sets me apart from other recruits is my commitment to being well-rounded, both as a student and an athlete. I am equally dedicated to my academics, understanding the importance of balancing sports with education. I approach both my studies and soccer with a mindset of continuous improvement, knowing that success requires hard work and consistency. I am confident that my strong work ethic, discipline, and ability to stay focused will make me an asset to your team.

In addition to my athletic and academic abilities, I believe my character is what truly sets me apart. I am a natural leader who values the success of the team above individual achievement. I am always ready to support my teammates and push them to be their best, both during practice and in game situations. I understand that success on the field is built on trust, communication, and collective effort, and I am committed to contributing positively to the team dynamic.

My goal in college is not only to continue playing soccer at the highest level but also to grow as both an athlete and a person. I am excited about the opportunity to join a program that will challenge me to reach my full potential and allow me to contribute to the success of the team.
