Tai Lehman '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Tai Lehman and I am a 2021 graduate at Halifax High School in Halifax PA.

Academically, my goal is to earn a degree that keeps me involved with sports, specifically in the area of Sports Management.  Athletically, I am dedicated to taking my soccer game to a top collegiate level.  On the soccer field you will find me easy to coach, a motivated, integral player and positive influence on the team.       

A soccer player for over 12 yrs, I play high school varsity and club soccer for PennFC  Stormrunners.  A starter for both teams, I play mainly center back and right wing with  center back being my favorite position.  In 2019, with a record of 21-2, my high school team won both the League and Dist3, 1A Championships and played in quarterfinals of states.

Coaches tell me that I have a natural ability to see the entire field and know how to react.  My speed allows me to run down opponents and take the ball.   My long throw ins and kicking skills have earned me 7 goals and 15 assists.   As a sophomore received the "Rookie of the Year" award and made "1st Team Defender " all 4 years (2019 by unanimous vote). Senior year selected as "All-Sentinel Player of the Year".

Sophomore year I earned the kicker spot for my HS football team. We won our league and districts and made quarterfinals for states and I was awarded the First Team Kicker for TVAA All- League and Conference Special Teams Player of the year. 

Soccer has inspired me to take on new challenges, be more determined and to believe in myself.  I am also involved in HS Track as a sprinter in 100, 200, 4X100 and the have placed in districts and at states.

Other soccer related activities include volunteering at summer camp to teach younger players the skills and joy of playing soccer and being  a certified soccer referee which has given me an added perspective to the game of soccer.

As a year- round athlete, balancing sports, school, working, volunteering for youth programs and training, I’ve been told that my work ethic and dedication make me a leader on and off the field.

I am looking for a school where I can thrive with other players who share my passion, where my skills are tested, and where I can reach my full potential.  On and off the field I will conduct myself with respect for my team, my coaches, and the college that has given me this opportunity.
