Aidan Mcguire '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, 

I am a 17-year-old midfielder. My current RCL team is a strong, tournament-winning Division 1 team that frequently plays and beats ECNL teams. Last year, I made All Conference in varsity HS soccer. In my home state of Washington, I played for six years for the state's Elite Player Development travel team. This team included players who played on the Sounders Academy (MLS) and who are Div.1-bound. 

Early on, coaches played me in the midfield because of my control, passing, and ability to create plays and intervene in others. When I joined the Rangers, my coach challenged me to be the best defender on the field. I have worked on that since then and now see myself as an aggressive, defense-minded midfielder. I believe in playing creatively and intelligently on the field, and I'm not afraid to press and repress.  

Next year, I will train full-time in the UK and compete for the IDA (International Development Academy) for ten months. I hope to find a good fit in U.S. collegiate soccer starting 2025. My aspirations are to compete at the highlest level possible because I love this game, and I love to compete.
