Aidan McGuire '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, 

I am an 18-year-old midfielder, and I train and play for the International Development Academy in Reading, UK. In my home state of Washington, I played for six years for the state's Elite Player Development (EDP) travel team. My Div 1 club team won the Northwest Conference 2023. I played varsity and was All-Conference for two years. I have been playing soccer since the age of 4.

I play strong in the midfield because of my control, passing, and ability to create plays and intervene in others. My club coach, Josh Braun, once challenged me to be the best defender on the field. For the past three years, I have worked hard to meet this challenge and now see myself as an aggressive, defense-minded midfielder. I believe in playing creatively and intelligently on the field, never afraid to press and re-press. 

I hope to find a good fit in U.S. collegiate soccer starting 2025. My aspirations are to compete at the highlest level possible because I love this game, and I love to compete.
