Reinis Berzin '26 Recruiting Profile

Playing soccer is a huge part of my identity - I love the opportunity to compete against great players who push me to be the best I can be.

Last club year I played for Crossfire ECNL B08 in the greater Seattle area and was selected to the Washington state 2024-25 EPD program (Elite Player Development) and represented Washington state soccer at the 2025 Far West ODP (Olympic Development Program) Championships. This summer I am playing for the Crossfire B07/08 ECNL-RL team while I work with Crossfire's ECNL coach to return to the B07/08 ECNL team later this year.

This last spring I finished my 3rd high school varsity soccer season at Cedarcrest where we won the Washington state King County Lake Division 2A Championship and for the first time since 2017 reached the state Quarterfinals. I finished the season with 19 goals and was voted by team members as Offensive MVP. My best memory from that season was during the first round of the state tournament: we were down 0:2 and I scored two goals to tie up the game and then later scored the winning goal in sudden death overtime to win the game 4:3, completing my hat trick and sending Cedarcrest to the quarterfinals.

I actively seek out opportunities to improve my strength, skills, and performance: I attended the Coerver NW soccer school for many years on a weekly basis throughout the school year, I've regularly attended soccer camps during summers and holidays, and I recently completed a 6-month private speed and strength training program with DM Athletics.

I'm a strong student with a near 4.0 GPA taking advanced / AP courses interested in continuing my soccer career at a university where I can be academically challenged.
