Hello, my name is Tristen Shinen. I am a well-rounded person who understands what it takes to achieve in sports, school, and life. I love to work hard and am never afraid to put in the effort to do my best. I've been swimming since I was 6 years old and truly love the sport. Because swimming is often viewed as an individual sport, I've taken the time to really understand how to work together as a team and but also put my best foot forward as an individual. I enjoy the process, and am not afraid to invest in the efforts necessary to overcome failures and difficulties. I hope to one day work in the business or medical fields, and plan on attending a college or university that places a high value on learning, self-improvement, experience, and forward-thinking.
