At six months of age, on the first day of infant survival rescue, I was taken to the middle of the pool and placed face down. I immediately turned to float, the instructor said I would be a swimmer someday…. I’ve loved the water ever since! I want to make a name for myself in the swimming world. I stand on the block, with my focus on swimming my best, enter the water with determination and drive to succeed. As a twice exceptional student, I have succeeded in Honors Courses and AP program, taking college courses in high school. My swim team is my family. We support, encourage and share the drive for the best time. I want a coach who strives to improve his swimmers in all aspects of their college career. My times are improving with each meet, as I condition, mature and challenge myself to achieve. As a versatile swimmer, I can be lead, anchor, with no favorite stroke and as much speed. My ideal coach will drive hard, critique my performance and challenge me at the highest level, while taking a personal interest in my success in and out of the pool. I promise to train relentlessly to be the best swimmer I can be. As my college years approach, I am more enthused, with the same passion I feel for my club, my team and my family. I want a college that will help me develop as a professional, leading to an MD degree, as well as a swimmer and a contributing member of my community.
To sum up my focus: “Eat, Sleep, Swim, Any Questions?”
