Personal Statement

Hello Coach, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Keegan Knutson. I have very high expectations for myself that I would like to achieve as a collegiate athlete. I would like to compete at a very high level in baseball. I would also like to become the best person and player I can be throughout my collegiate career. Away from the field, I would like to obtain a degree from the college of my choice, which is the most important piece of the puzzle for my life after baseball. I am a great candidate for this team because of my work ethic and determination. I will give 110% at practice and outside of practice. If I have a bad game or practice, whatever went wrong will be worked on and improved. I am different from other recruits because I am a leader. Coaches and teammates can count on me to always do what is asked, and to never let them down on or off the field.  Athletically, I am able to play every position defensively on the field, which makes me a very versatile player for my team. Also, I am very versatile on the offensive side, and can hit anywhere from 1-9 while making an impact at each spot in the lineup. Academically, I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout middle school. My goal is to continue to achieve this throughout high school and college. I will never settle for anything less than my best. I work hard to be the greatest player I can be. I work hard to be the best teammate I can be. Most importantly, I work hard away from the field because if I don't receive good grades, there will be no sports career.
