Colin Meany '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Colin Meany and I have been playing high school tennis as a varsity player since my freshman year. While I play tennis at my local high school, my education is through homeschool.  Homeschooling has allowed me time to pursue my passion for tennis while studying and traveling with my family.  I have had the opportunity to play a few months a year, for the last 3 years, at the Emilio-Sanchez Tennis Academy in Naples FL where I have improved my mental game as well as my technical skills.  Homeschooling has forced me to learn time management skills, work independently, and think critically.  Being part of the team has earned me sportsmanship awards as I always strive to be positive, kind, respectful, and encouraging. 

Beyond my team training, having time flexibility has allowed me to also schedule early weekday drills and matches with adults which has given me exposure to many different athletes and mindsets.  I've held a part-time job this last year, in addition to my studies and my tennis training, and I have just accepted a summer position as a tennis instructor.

With a foundation built on homeschooling's independence, four years of varsity tennis, a strong work ethic, and a can-do attitude, I a prepared to make a meaningful contribution to my future college team.
