Hey, I am Dillon Henson, and my tennis journey started way back in the third grade during PE class. That's when I first fell in love with the game. I made my way up to Highland Meadows Tennis Center where I was taught the fundamentals of the sport. Thanks to my coaches - Dennis Fulugenzi, Mike Sexton, and Cameron Mount who got tons of college tennis and teaching experience, which really helped me level up.
On the court, I've had some cool achievements. I've rocked it in Junior Team Tennis, scoring two State Runner-Up titles and one State Championship. And when I hit high school in 2021, I made history at Windsor High School as the first-ever freshman to be the Number 1 Singles spot. In 2022, I took on Number 2 Singles, and I started to make some better progress, earning Honorable Mention at Conference as a sophomore. Now, in the 2023 season, I'm back at Number 1 Singles, and I'm feeling very confident. I put in some serious work this summer with Agility Training, Tournaments, and Junior Program Classes.
Now more about my personal life! I always aim to put academics first. I have a current GPA of 3.781. I also joined a Broadcasting Club here at my school where we use Broadcasting Equipment to broadcast our sports to YouTube! I also work at Highland Meadows Tennis Center, where I get to chat with a bunch of tennis players from Northern Colorado. Plus, I'm tight with the coaches there, which is pretty awesome. I have been teaching Red Aces which is super fun and I love getting the next generation into the sport of Tennis!
Thanks for taking the time to read my personal statement, and if you want to chat or have any questions, feel free to reach out!
