Tennis- big part of my life

        Tennis has been a big part of my life for a very long time. I first started playing tennis when I was 4 years old. My father used to play tennis, but has never got the chance to play profesionally. This may also have been one of the reasons I started playing, because when he used to play I was eager to play with him.

        The firsy time I played tennis was with my father because I was too young to get accepted for a tennis club. Then, when I was 5 ( the age I was accepted at a club) I began playing under the guidence of a couch. It was not easy to keep up with other kids that were older than me. However, the fun I was having made me not feel any kind of tiredness.

        As I got older and dreams got bigger, I had to work harder and harder. Apart of tennis, I also used to practice swimming and chess. I was  good at them too. At swimming I got a 4rd place at a regional race, and at chess I was the runner up at another regional competition. However, my heart always seemed to prefer tennis over the other sports, so I decided to focus on it.

        Ever since I started focusing on tennis the resultsgot better. For example, I have been apart of the National Tennis Team at all groups of ages:10, 12, 14 16 and now 18 years old. At the last National Championship I got 3rd place. Moreover, I have also international results. To begin with, at 16 years old I won a Tennis Europe tournement. In addition, I have reached semifinals at an ITF Juniors at singles and reached finals at doubles.

        Right now I started playing 15k and I am training very hard to try and manage to get an ATP point. One reason I really want to get it is to make my parents , country and myself proud.On the other hand, why this might be harder to accomplish for me is because I still go to  a well known college in my town, taking courses in mathematics and IT. It is often popularly believde that when you are good at something, you cannot be good be good at something else, but I believe that if you are motivated enough, you can succed at everything you want.

        I want to continue my tennis career and studies as a student-athlete at your university. In my opinion, following your courses I have the oportunity to develop myself and also play tennis tennis for your college as part of the tennis team. I think this would bring benefits to both the college and me.
