At first I didn't enjoy running, dare say I despised it. My older siblings had done cross country and track so naturally I followed into their footsteps. I first joined cross country in 7th grade. To my surprise I found myself enjoying the sport very much and got me to love running, which encouraged me to join track. Immediately I was very fond of the sport. This sport showed me the results of working hard brings to you. A quote I live by, "Failure is NOT an option" - Gene Kranz NASA Chief Flight Director, because I work on improving, not perfecting, and track has taught me that failure doesn't exist.
