Personal Statement

I am a three sport athlete and have lettered ten times through the first semester of my senior year.  I have qualified for state seven times and been on the podium twice.   I am younger than most seniors as I just turned 17 at the start of the school year.  I love running and competing.  This is my first year of being able to train by running instead of biking and doing the elliptical and the results are coming through.  I have been First team All City (Aurora)  in each sport as well as first team all league.  Named outstanding performer my junior and senior year in cross country.  I hope to find a college team that aspires to be the best they can be.  Being a "team" is most important to me because then everything becomes easier for everyone.  I have been to the Olympic Trials (spectator) and am hoping my college career is a spring board that gives me a chance to qualify as an athlete.  By concentrating more on running in the future my times will drop drastically as wrestling takes a huge toll on my body and hurts me in the short spring track season.  I intend to continue running this winter while competing in some indoor track races.  I recently ran the mile in 4:17.55 indoors.
