I feel that I’m a good candidate is because I have a worth ethic that I don’t think a lot of others have. I’m a person that when I really want something, I’ll do anything to get it. Ever since the beginning of junior year, that passion became track. All season I worked, all summer I kept a schedule and worked alone. From freshman year I was really slow and was seen as “the kid doing it for fun” but I wanted to prove everyone wrong. I went and continued grinding and helped New Milford get numerous awards, such as first in the 4x4 two years in a row, 2nd and 6th in class L’s two years in a row, and helped lead the same team from 1:42 in the 4x200 into a 1:38. I also feel like my mindset is very contagious, I helped all my teammates get faster and push themselves through each workout. Being captain it really helped me put in perspective the levels it takes to put yourself out there and work. I have that mindset you want, I’ll work as hard as I can for you.
