When I first started track in eighth grade I didn’t like it, to much running I thought but as the next couple years went on I looked forward to track season . My ninth grade year I sucked at High jump but I placed one away from state in long jump and I was happy because I thought man next year I’m getting it for sure. My sophomore year came around and I was having a great season so was my team we were winning a lot of meets and everyone was setting PRs. I was high jumping and long jumping a lot further than I had in the past so regionals came along that year I felt good I was ready I wanted to go to state but in the end I placed 7th in the region with a jump of 21’3 and my high jump sucked to I went in regionals ranked top 3 and didn’t even place. I realized after that meet that none of this is gonna come easy if I want to achieve my goal and make it to state I’m gonna have to work for it more than I did. I want to go to college and compete at I higher level because I like the competition getting beat in events makes me better, makes me wanna jump further and run faster.
