Benjamin Mattern '24 Recruiting Profile

            I am a distance runner from Vermont who has been running for around 8 years, and I hope to run in an organized fashion at least 4 more years. I am the boys team captain of the XC team, as well as the indoor and outdoor Track and Field boys teams. I am hardworking, perhaps slightly too competitive, but above all kind, as instilled in me by my mother. As of the fall of 2023, I have helped my teammates to 3 division three state titles, with hopefully a fourth on the way. Similarly, I hope to win division 3 XC states this season. Lastly, I have a cumulative Gpa of 3.985, which I want to use as a stepping stone in becoming a dermatologist.
