Madison Powers '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a Multi-sport Varsity athlete, and have been playing on my AAU team, Lightening soccer team - and my school Basketball, Cross Country, Track and Soccer since 4th grade (5 years).

 I  have also been on the Thetford Academy Cross Country team, hold the 7th and 8th grade school record, and also helped win the VT State CC team Championship 2016, for VT State. My 2019 girls track team also won the VT State Championship.

My Lightening premiere travel soccer team has been a part of my life since 5th grade (LSC Synergy), and prepared me for being on the TA Varsity soccer team as a Freshman.

My goal - up to this point had been to play two sports per season, while also keeping my academics up - I am currently a high honors student.

Soccer is my biggest passion, and I plan to continue to play in college.

Team sports teach commitment, discipline, mental toughness, preperation, participation, respect and compromise. I love being part of a team and I love to compete and play in competitive sports. Challenge equals opportunity. I work hard and encourage others to always do their very best.

Health, strength, kindness, role modeling, empathy and respect are important attributes to me.

Freshman year, I was recognized for the State Capitol soccer team honorable mention. Our varsity team won Div 3 State Championship, and I had 11 personal goals for the season. Sophomore, my soccer team won the div3 State Championship, and I was recognized on Capital All start 2nd team. I have scored 22 goals in my HS career thus far, and I have been named a Captain of my team for the 2020 season.
