My name is Harry Economon and I am a student at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA graduating class of 2025. After playing competitive soccer for 8 years and after Covid I was looking for a new outlet going into high school. Growing quickly to 6'5", everyone thought basketball might be the best fit, but I decided to go out for track and never looked back. Coaches quickly noticed my natural ability and by the end of my freshman year I was competing at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the 400m rising stars event and finishing second. I was hooked and since then I've been working hard with my coaches to learn technique and build muscle. I just finished my sophomore year by winning a national championship at Adidas Outdoor Nationals in the 400m with a 47.08, the fastest time in VA. Even more exciting than that, I was able to compete in the mixed 4x400m relay with my teammates. We won that national championship as well. I love competing in relays because of the team comaraderie, anchoring relays has been my specialty. I can run 100m-800m and won the 500m indoor championship at VA states. I'd love to be able to continue running in college. The commitment and schedule are something that keeps me working hard both athletically and academically. I am an IB Diploma candidate at Robinson and include AP and Honors classes in my schedule. I started high school credit classes in 7th grade and have maintained a high GPA throughout. My coaches consider me a team leader and I always look to see how I can support my teammates or what I can learn from them.
