One of my deepest passions has become running. Ask anyone around me and they will agree whole heartedly with that. I have this dream to run Track and Cross country at the collegiate level and that dream is not far from my grasp. I'm a dedicated student and athlete and I believe I have the skill set and the drive to compete at a college level, inside and outside the classroom. I currently am uncertain about my preferred field of study or which career field I will decide to undertake throughout and following college. The area of coaching and/or teaching as a p.e. teacher interests me immensely and I will be continuing to look in that area as well as other areas I believe I could achieve in. Whatever that area should be, my goal is to graduate your college with a degree after having left a definite mark on your athletic program. My family name has always been known for dedication, honesty, and excellence and I bring those same characteristics to the table. That's what makes me an excellent choice for your program.
One of the achievements that highlights my commitment to excellence in using my talents to the best of my ability is the fact that I have participated at the Washington 2A state meet in 3 sports during the 2013-2014 school year, taking home 2 medals. I qualified in Cross Country (5K) with a time of 16:39, easily qualifying and going on to run a 16:45 at the very hilly State course. Moving on to the winter season I finished out my very successful Wrestling season with a 6th place at the State tournament. And I again brought home a medal this spring season when in Track & Field I took 8th in the 800M with a PR of 1:58.27 at Mt, Tahoma HS during the State Finals. I hope this sheds some light for you on how much depth I have as an athlete, potentially for your program.
