I feel most at home in two very different places: the track and the stage. Like most prospective college athletes, I've been excelling in cross country and track since middle school. However, my abilities on the stage set me apart. As a freshman, I auditioned and joined the MHS Images Show Choir, winning a Grand Champion title at a state competition and a Superior rating at Disney's Choral Festival. I went on to attend the national Show Choir Camps of America summer program, where I ran in the pre-dawn hours before long days of song and dance rehearsal. I won a solo vocal spot in our competition shows as both a freshman and sophomore, and I continue to take dance classes to improve my strength and flexibility.
I've taken on leadership roles in both activities. In the Show Choir, I'm the Assistant Dance Captain and on the Cross Country Team, I've given the newcomers a warm welcome as they joined our team and high school. Just as I am in sports and theatre, I'm very focused academically, taking many honors courses and even an AP class as a freshman. I'm super grateful for the opportunities I've been given so far, and I'm excited to see how I might combine these passions in college.
