The first volleyball game I ever played was against Warren Six Pack, as an opposite hitter. I was hitting and blocking against Tim Ennis, a player committed to Long Beach University. Needless to say, he scored on me at least twice and demonstrated a higher level of playing that outshined my skills by a lot. I'll never forget that I also stuffed him once, and had a kill on him too. I was faced with a wall my first time ever playing, yet I didn't stop playing at my best. Since then, I have also grown as a volleyball player. I can now confidently match players on par, or better than Tim Ennis.
My experience with volleyball teams has been short, but I know my strengths and weaknesses. Working with others has always been a strong suit. Volleyball requires coordination between people, and I excel at working with, and for a team. I only get upset at my teammates when they don't try their hardest. My head is always cool on the court, and I am always able to analyze a play sufficiently. I am athletically elevated, I move quickly and jump high, and I have a fire that no one else does. All in all, my volleyball career will move forward, and since I can maintain a good GPA at any school as a student-athlete, and consistently demonstrate high intrinsic motivation, determination, confidence, and respect, any college would benefit greatly from having me.
