Evan Hochman '17 Recruiting Profile

Hey Coaches,

My name is Evan and I am currently 16 years old. I am in grade 11 at Tanenbaum CHAT (Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto).  At CHAT, for the three years I have been there, I have been on the volleyball team. The first year as libero, the second and third as setter. I have played club volleyball for two years, this being my second, and played as defensive specialist and libero.

I think I am different from many other recruits for many reasons. The first reason is that I am never negative. No matter what happens on the court, I always stay positive. I believe that anybody who feels good about themselves will have good results, which is why I am always positive to everybody, including myself, and never negative on the court. The second reason is that I always like to be the hardest worker on the court. I always like to chase balls if they are shanked, hoping to bring it back into play, but if not, just to get a touch. I never let a ball hit the floor without me hitting the floor too.
