Maria Cruickshanks '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maria Cruickshanks and I am a 2024 Graduate at Olds High School. I am from Olds, Alberta Canada and am currently playing for the Southern Alberta Revolution Softball Team. My primary position is third base, however I am very coachable and have played many other positions over the years. Having a strong arm on the infield has led me to be highly successful, and a regular starter for my team. I also have a strong bat from the left side, which has also allowed me to take on the role of a slapper. I have been slapping since U16 and continue to use this as a core strength of mine. Softball has been a huge passion of mine as I hope to play the highest level I possibly can while furthering my education. I plan to study education, as I hope to become an elementary school teacher. Along with my passion and value of the game, being a successful student is just as important to me. I am a hard worker who focuses on becoming a better athlete everyday while maintaining good grades. I look forward to becoming a part of a College or University who pushes their athletes both in the classroom, and on the field.
