When I was much younger, softball started out as just a game I was learning to play. I would watch the older girls play, and always wonder what it would take to get to where they were. The answer seems to be years of hard work, sacrifice and dedication to the game. But along the way, this game turned into a passion – making the words “hard work” and “sacrifice” a joy, rather than a burden.
I’m a very driven person, I’ve been told. I understand there is never absolute 100% perfection in anything, but striving for it is what helps me to improve.
I love to play softball, and it would be a dream to play softball while also pursuing my education goals after high school. I’ve played with different teams over the years, and feel strongly about being on a team that works hard and cares about becoming the best they can be. I would like to be a part of a team that considers itself a family: there to encourage each other to reach individual and team goals, and to be there to truly pick each other up – both on and off the field.
I’m excited about graduating and taking the next step in my life! My education has always been important to me, and while at this time I have not pinpointed what I would like to study, I do know that I would like to be part of a softball program that encourages high academic standards.
