May 2017Personal Statement
My name is Mackenzie Casillas and I am currently a Junior at Verrado High School in Buckeye, Az. I have been a starting pitcher for the Varsity team at my high school since my freshman year. I also play travel softball and I am a right handed pitcher who gets plenty of circle time. I have good speed and I am very effective in hitting my spots while dominating at the mound. I also have the endurance to pitch multiple innings and games over a tournament weekend. My go to pitch is my screwball. I currently train with a personal trainer twice a week and a batting/pitching coach couple of times a month.
I want to future my softball career to the college level. I am excited to attend college out of state and I feel that my skills and academics would make me a great candidate for college. I have succeeded to keep a 3.0 GPA for both my freshman and sophomore years. I would like to study in Physical Therapy and receive a degree to take my studies into the real world.
