Chandler Martin '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old. The first extra curricular activities my parents put me in were dance and cheer. It was fun, but I never felt like it was the right fit. Then, my best friend started playing softball and told me to join her team. Ever since then, I have been hooked. I have worked my way up the ranks starting with rec ball, then to All Stars, small travel teams and in 12U I was selected to play for one of the most prestigious travel organizations--Corona Angels. Although I am playing now with my local travel team, Panthers Gold, I know I have learned a lot from all of my softball experiences. I am also proud of making the Varsity high school softball team this year as a sophomore.

To tell you a little about myself, I consider myself a hard worker and a perfectionist. I have a strong work ethic and always put my all into what I’m doing. I am also never satisfied; I know that I can do more and be better at all times. I train hard and try to play harder. These characteristics set me apart from others. I also believe in being a STUDENT athlete. My academics are very important to me. I manage a busy sports schedule with a rigorous high school academic schedule. I am taking honors and AP courses and still strive to get the best grades I can. I do all of this to hopefully attain my goal of playing softball at the next level.
