Competitive softball allows me to build my character through my family’s guiding principles:
• Be humble
• Live out my principles and values
• Be intentional
• Practice self-discipline
• Be accountable
This year, I have taken complete ownership of my journey in competitive softball. My parents believe that by taking ownership of my softball journey, I will be better prepared to face the challenges I will face in college and in a career. My Dad likes to say, “Do you think I’m going to talk to your boss about not getting that promotion?!” In this view, I hope to learn more about myself and take advantage of opportunities that are given to me in the future.
