Personal Statement

My name is Taelyn Smith and I'm a Senior at Hillsboro High School in Illinois. I've been playing competitive softball since I was 7 years old. I quickly realized that softball is a passion I would like to pursue at the collegiate level. Through hard work, commitment, and determination, I strive to be the best teammate I can be. I give 100% in the classroom just as I do on the softball field. My goal is to pursue a degree in the medical field and someday work with future athletes. It is very important for me to find the right college that will allow me to achieve my goals as a student and softball player, and ultimately prepare me for adulthood.
