Hello, my name is Brianna Evans; currently I am a sophomore at Tell City Jr. Sr High School. You always hear athletes say "I eat, breathe and sleep sports", well I do. If I could play all of them I definitely would. Although I play multiple sports throughout the year, softball is my diehard sport. It is definitely my passion and I love everything about the game. When I step on the field, my worries disappear as my cleats step onto the dirt. The sound of the ball popping in my glove sends chills down my spine. It's just me and the game I love. Softball makes me want to stride to the best possible athlete I can be not just for myself, but for my team and coaches. Being any kind of athlete takes a lot of dedication and commitment. I am a very dedicated athlete always trying to improve my skills. I have always been on the "small" side. My parents have never let me think that my height was disadvantage. Being one of the smaller athletes I had to outwork everyone around me. I know what it means to work harder than anyone else. I've been doing it since I was 5. My mom and dad have always told me "If you want to get better, you have to put in the work. Nothing is handed to you. You have to work twice as hard for it." From hitting off a tee in the backyard to driving 2 hours away to go to my hitting coach once or twice a week my dedication and hardworking ethic is always there. It will be hard to find a more dedicated and harder working athlete than myself.
Even at a young age, I knew I wanted to play collegiate softball. My main positions on the field are LF RF outfield and second.
I want to find a school that is the best fit for me. I know how much work college softball is going to take from me, but I'm saying "bring it on!!" I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
