Personal Statement
I’ve played softball since I was five years old and it could have been way easier to quit than to continue. However, I fell in love with this sport. It was the first time I felt like I belonged anywhere and I love competition. Softball allows me to further better myself and create new friends and teammates in the process. Softball has helped me earn a hard work ethic and work hard in the classroom. I’ve worked hard throughout my softball career to overcome obstacles, like my size, so I can compete with girls that are bigger than I am. Softball has shaped me as an individual and has taught me to work hard for everything I want and never quit no matter what.
Coaches would describe me as a leader on the field and off. I work hard to maintain my grades and I work just as hard to better my softball career by going to the field with my dad and taking some ground balls. Coaches also say I have a great work ethic because I won’t give up when an obstacle comes towards me, I just look at it and begin practicing and trying to overcome that obstacle.
I’m looking for an enthusiastic coach and team with the drive to win. I want to play for a coach who cares about me and my team and will help me improve my knowledge of the game and help me become a better individual overall. I want to go to a school that will provide me a family atmosphere and will want to be competitive and work hard to achieve our goals.
