I am 15 years old and a sophomore at Northfield High School. I have been playing travel softball for Northfield since I was 8, and have been on our high school team since 7th grade. I have also played winter Dome Ball in Northfield the past 2 seasons. Currently I am playing for the Clutch Hitters club team. I am interested in playing softball in college to further myself as a player and as a person. I believe I would be a good candidate for college softball because I am devoted to this sport and have taken time to advance my skills.
During my softball "career", I have been primarily a pitcher, and did take some private pitching lessons from St. Olaf College pitcher Julie Graf. However, I have also spent a lot of time playing 1st base, which I enjoy just as much as pitching.
Regarding other sports, I am a 3 sport athlete. In addition to softball, I swim competitively in the fall, and I do Olympic Weightlifting in the winter. I have been doing these sports at the high school level since 7th grade as well.
